A Mediterranean restaurant with an emphasis on Greek food and wood fire oven cooking, Shed 5 is respected Sydney restaurateur Stan Sarris’ first Melbourne venture (previous venues include Banc, Wine Banc and Prime).
Head chef Vasilios Donoudis (ex Mama Baba and Church St Enoteca) cooks seasonal ingredients using traditional and modern methods, with dishes served from oven to table – reflecting the raw and industrial interior of Shed 5.
An array of iconic Greek foodstuffs adorn the shelves above the 3-tonne steel bar, providing diners with an historical reminder of the Promenade’s previous life as a working wharf.
